We’ve finished our living room renovation and booked a slot for next Tuesday! We don’t want too much advise on decoration as we’ll slowly decorate the room with accessories when we have more money as we’ve run out 😅 but we want to use this consultation to ask how to fill out the space in our living room. It is looking SO bare right now! Does anyone have experience with them?

(curtains, mirror over fireplace and study desk currently ordered and awaiting to be delivered so at least that’ll fill up a bit more. We also have paintings to hang) . The space between the sofa and fireplace is so far, what do you fill this huge gap with ? Also Thinking to get another sofa to put on the left side of the room. Any suggestions ?☺️

I have, both in my old house and my current one! I found them really helpful both times. You sit down and chat for ten minutes and then go for a walk around the store and chat over various options on furniture etc. The consultant writes everything down and will email you mood boards with hyperlinks afterwards.

My main advice would be to go in having thought about what you want to achieve with the room; for me it was that we have a long, narrow living room and I didn't know how to arrange it. I know how I wanted the room to feel, how it needed to function for us etc and the consultant gave me some suggestions on how to arrange the space with various furniture and furnishings to achieve that.

Good luck!

I’ve used them and the designer I had was amazing. It’s obviously down to individual designers and whether they can interpret what you’re looking for. The one I used no longer works for JL. Given its free, I’d definitely recommend giving them a go.
