So we have a large square bay in the window that we've made into a reading nook and are painting it dulux Denim Drift. What colour should we paint the rest of the lounge? It is quite a dark room. I'm thinking blush pink, but not sure if that will go?

Depends on the light.

I would look at grey pinks like elephants breath.

Alternatively do what i do all the great effect. Paint the other walls various shades of denium drift (lighten with white paint)

I do alcoves darker and section that catch shadows.
People always compliment it but cant put their finger on what youve done

What about Pebble Shore on the rest of the walls? It’s a nice neutral stony grey colour.
denim drift is a gorgeous colour, a kind of blue, greeny almost grey. We have it in our bedroom and it is really cosy.

I looked at Pebble Shore and thought it was a bit cool....I'm looking at Just Walnut now as still has a pink undertone but not as obviously pink! I'm going to see how the Denim Drift looks when dried. Thanks for the suggestion.

Ooooo I love this suggestion...I can imagine how the multi tonal effect would be really interesting. My only thought is it might be a bit cool....all that blue, but will have a look when the Denim Drift has dried. Thanks!

Denim drift is quite nice. I felt it really cosied up our bedroom.
we have used a bit of sage green with it which works, so a pinky tone should work too.
Perfectly Taupe is a bit of a pinky neutral (may be too dark for you) but similar idea
