Does anyone move stuff, paint walls, then put it back? What would it be called?

Does this service exist? And what might I pay (London)?

I have a cluttered house with DC and DH who are not prepared to entirely empty a room, and anywhere there’s nowhere else in the house to put it. My only hope for getting fresh paint (or carpets) is to find a team who can work around this (move heavy furniture to the centre of the room and then back again) or (and I’d be happy to pay for storage / van hire) move it all to temporary storage for a few days. We don’t have a spare room, garage or shed so its not possible to just put things from one room into another.

You could try a local removal company. When we moved house a couple of years ago, the movers were telling us about a minor local celebrity who had used them to empty his home office and store the furniture while he had the decorators in.

My partner is a flooring fitter and they will move furniture before and after for an extra charge, if there wouldn't be room to work around the furniture then the storage idea sounds good, might be cheaper to try a man with a van for that than pay a tradesmans time for moving furniture though

Thanks @Primotomb and @littlegingerone , I’ll follow up on both those ideas.
