Curtains/blinds for bay window problem

If you have a bay with a radiator under it, what do you have in your windows?

there were previously some wooden Venetian blinds but they just collect dust. The windows are upvc so can’t screw into them really so roller blinds would have to hang off the top so might look odd.

curtains…would need to be short so as to avoid the rad. Would I need to fix a bendy track and use pencil pleat curtains? I can’t see how a pole would work in a bay,

im driving myself mad with this! Any ideas?

You could get:

perfect fit blinds

roman blinds - google Roman blinds bay window to get an idea for how they’ll look about the window

if curtains a track pole measured and fitted round.

Thank you. Not sure PF would work due to the way they open but Roman might…. Off to Google.

We had a pole with rings and right angle bends, you need C-rings which pass over the brackets (there is a knack to getting them over and it is annoying when they refuse to go). We had pencil pleat curtains short of the radiators. John Lewis fitted the pole and curtains.

We had the same issue and had roman blinds made as we couldn't think of another solution. They are attached to a wooden plinth above the window though but sure there will be a way of attaching to upvc. The only downside is its a bit of a faff opening and closing them all but ours stay up most of the time as we are not overlooked - generally used to block out the sun when a DC moaning they can't see the TV properly

We had a pole made to measure and with C rings. Attached to the wooden windows. Full length heavy lined curtains but we would turn off the radiator when shutting the curtains, there was another radiator in the room though.

We've also had blinds (different window) that are attached to a batton above the window. No radiator below the window and I plan to replace with full length curtains.

In your case I'd go for interlined roman blinds in a luxurious fabric.
