Bathroom wall tiles - matt or gloss?

I'm doing up our family bathroom. Gone for pink furniture with wood effect worktop and flooring. I found a tile I love for around the bath, a hexagon in pinks and blues, but it is a matt finish and all the styling pics show it on the floor (there is one using it as a splashback).

I'm doubting myself as a gloss tile will make the room feel bigger (no windows and fairly small). Or will the matt make it feel cost when you have a bath?

Thoughts on a matt wall tile in a bathroom?

I hate gloss tiles, they need more cleaning than matt tiles. I dont think gloss tiles make a room look bigger.

We've gone matt for a bathroom going in next week. PiL have new gloss tiles, and I was very jealous. But I think they will take a lot of cleaning to keep them looking like that.
Go for what you love.
