Please could I ask for recommendations for carpets for kids bedrooms? They're likely to make a mess and stains but hard flooring not an option unfortunately as will be too noisy for neighbours so will have to be carpet. Any brands / colour ideas welcomed! Thanks

Something with lots and lots of pattern... disguises stains!!

There are many carpets which can be cleaned with a bleach solution now. Or something shaded/patterned/ heathery to help mask mess.

Suggestions:

Fun kids carpet

fun kids carpet2

Shaded kids carpet

Heathery carpets

After moths ate my lovely wool carpet I gave in and bought a fully synthetic one for the lounge. I thought it would be shiny and static-y but actually it looks and feels fine. We have had spills of red wine and cups of tea and it's cleaned up beautifully just with plenty of water and blotting dry. The salesman did say it was bleachable. The price was similar to an 80/20 twist, so not that cheap.

We have had moths (old house) so that sounds great. Do you happen to know the brand of the one you chose. Thanks for advice re patterns, really helpful!

What about a quality cushion floor Lino Benefits of wood but minimal extra noise

@Charkd what did you go for? Kids have spilt putty, wax, ink and syrup on their carpets over the years!
