Black or Gold Sink / Navy units

Looking to install a new kitchen and like the look of navy units. Does anyone have any experience of these and how they age/scratches showing etc. Appreciate so many brands out there but wondered if navy is a practical colour on the whole or if it can wear quickly.

Ditto re black sinks. Does anyone have any experience of these in terms of maintenance/water stains? They look fab in the brochures but not sure how they are on the day to day. We also really liked the look of a gold kitchen sink but this seems a lot more unusual so hard to gauge whether it would be practical or if it would scratch and look awful in a matter of moments. Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences?! Thank you.

We have a black stainless steel sink by Franke and it looks just as good after two years use as when it was fitted. We have soft water though so can’t really advise on water stains and use washing up bowls as standard so no scratches.

I think it really does depend on how hard your water is. If you're in a hard water area, I wouldn't touch a black sink as you will just have limescale being very obvious.

On the gold sink, it would have to be really expensive I think not to end up rubbing off – I've read loads of reviews of people saying that after time this ended up looking quite shabby as areas rubbed off or scratched where you clean them. However, it probably depends on the quality and how much you're spending.

it is tricky to visualise whether this might look nice or a bit naff… Have you got a photo of it?
