i had my floors done in Kahrs Oak Hampshire Silk Lacquer. When the fitter can put he advised against extending it to the kitchen area in case of leaks. I’ve had vinyl down but it looks rubbish - the kitchen and the living room are one room and the contrast just doesn’t work. I’ve tried to get some more of the Kahrs but they no longer stock it (seemingly anywhere in the UK) in the silk finish and the Matt is a completely different colour. What to do? I don’t want to have to redo all of the wood - it will cost a fortune but can’t get hold of any bits and the vinyl just looked awful in such a small (3sq m) space. I was a fool! Please help!

I'd tile the kitchen floor.

Sorry I should probably have added that the kitchen is in railings with a Calacatta gold worktop/splashback. I thought it would look best with a wooden floor but now I can’t get the same as in the rest of the room I’m unsure what to do. To replace the flooring throughout or get something specifically for the kitchen section? Two different woods would look mad and the the grey stone vinyl I bought looked terrible. Any suggestions would be most appreciated as I’ve gone completely blank… thank you.

I did buy tiles from Porcelanosa but the kitchen fitter wasn’t happy and said he thought vinyl would be better. I bought what he recommended and it looked awful..
