Desperately seeking inspiration to decorate our small(ish) porch. It's square, measuring 2.53m W x 1.68m L and has a recess on the left (view from inside the house) of 88.5cm W and one on the right measuring 92.0cm W. Our front door is white upvc double glazed with upper glass and a decent sized window just next to that also white upvc double glazed, so it gets a lot of light. There's a chest of drawers in the left recess and a wardrobe in the opposite one - both of which will be replaced as they're dated now. The only decoration we've ever done was after it was built, when we put up a simple bark-type patterned anaglypta type paper all over, which we then painted.
Anyway, it's all looking a bit shabby and worn now - paint seems okay but in some areas like where the front door opens and we go in and out, the paper is scuffed and since its the first thing people see when they come to the house, I really want to redecorate but don't know whether to remove the paper that's currently there and wallpaper again using paintable paper and paint it all, or use panelling on lower half and patterned paper on top.
