Colour for downstairs loo

It's a cross between the loo and a mini utility room as it has the washing machine and dryer in it. It's under the stairs so sloping ceiling. The wall with the sink is all white tiles. There is a little border with silver, light brown, dark brown and a kind of pewter colour.

The floor is a creamy tile. The units the sink and loo are in are a light beech laminate.

we want to change the walls (currently white) and I am tempted to paint the sink/loo units.

It's a funny space and very unloved (previous owners taste - good quality so can't justify a re tile but tired.

What colour scheme is neutral enough to go with both silver and brown but will add a bit of life. I was maybe looking at dulux warm pewter for the units but then I don't want to much grey.

Why don’t you paint the tiles, then you can pick any colour scheme you like? I’ve just done it to my downstairs loo - painted floor and wall tiles. Has really modernised the space for less than £100.

So I've had a lovely long weekend with dd1 and we now have mineral mist walls and ceiling, dark blue units (2 valspar tester pots in Blue fringe) then some grey shelves and bathroom bits.

It looks heaps better although a bit darker. But it's a loo/mini utility under the stairs and at least its not dingy.

Kept the tiles and picked up the grey in the border so it became much less offensive.

So am happier now as is dd. Dh is grumpy but I let him get his drill out a bit
