Radiator covers? Naff or nice?

Am contemplating one for the kitchen but not sure about it. Do they block the heat and end up a massive dust trap??

I love my radiator covers, I have them in every room and they look so much better than a bare crappy radiator. Plus In my ( council) house the radiators are covered in 11ty bikini layers of paint so look extra bad. I like that I can put my warm loving plants on the shelf too.

I live them but we had custom made ones in our old house (MDF) and we've got some from Screen With Envy. Looks much better and provides a useful surface

Possibly a tiny bit naff but infinitely nicer than bare radiators.

I’m not a fan. I think they just add more clutter and more dust / trap dust.

nocoolnamesleft · 01/04/2023 19:44

Thought they reduced the efficiency of the radiators at heating the room?

parklimes · 01/04/2023 19:52

I like them

Africa2go · 02/04/2023 01:02

Naff. Sorry

TheEverdelightfulsamantha · 02/04/2023 07:48

I’m a big fan - not naff

Davros · 02/04/2023 10:41

Not naff if you get nice ones, not that metal grid thing

Xarrie · 02/04/2023 10:52

I don't like them at all but my friend has a radiator shelf that looks quite nice

I like them. Can paint the same colour as the woodwork in the room without having the glossy sheen of radiator paint.
