Colourful bathroom?

I'm slowly decorating and changing things in the house and as I've done so am getting bolder with colour and pattern

anyhow - am really considering terracotta tiles with grey grout and a slate grey floor ....lots of green plants

or

maybe raspberry tiles with very pale blush pink walls? but what flooring?

has anyone been bold with colour in tile choice?

I'm about to take off my white bathroom tiles and replace with pink.

I agree - you should definitely go for it if it will make you happy every time you're in the room!

Many bathrooms are such sterile places and I'm firmly of the Sophie Robinson 'treat a bathroom like any other room in your home' school of thought.

Our walls aren't tiled at all but are painted in F&B Setting Plaster (as is the ceiling), whilst our floor tiles are a brightly coloured contemporary copy of Victorian Encaustics from Your Tiles. The pattern is a mix of pink, lime green, orange, grey and white....and we love them.

We have loads of art on the bathroom walls too!

You asked about flooring, I've got a patterned vinyl lino type flooring. It looks like blue patterned tiles. As I said I'm putting that with pink tiles.
Ideally I'd live a coloured suite but I can't justify changing what's there already.

Go for the colour! I've just had my bathroom redone. Lots of black and white, but 2/3 a bright dark green (if that makes sense!) And then bright mustardy yellow towels, with lots of plants. I bloomin love it. I also loved a pale pink when I was pintresting ideas.

The raspberry and pink option sounds fab.

My last house had teal tiles and a "wood" flooring and I loved it.

Just be careful the flooring isn't slippy - the fake wood in my new house is a nightmare!

Hi @sleeplessinsouthhampton (I'm assuming you might live there - it's where my DH is from 🙂) - I'll try to get a pic later as I'm currently comforting our dog who's unwell. I agree the raspberry and pink sounds amazing!

Actually @sleeplessinsouthhampton , I think there are a couple of pics of our bathroom on my Instagram (welshmillreimagined) although I don't think there's one of the bath. It's a free standing one and I painted the underside the same grey as that in the tiles. If I were to redo it (but we're selling soon), I'd go for something more vibrant.

I’m going for moss green lime washed wash walls and paler green tiles with a dark grey floor, with black industrial style vanity unit and wall cupboard.

We've done terracotta tiles with grey floor and I love it! it's so warm and soothing to be in.
