Graham & Brown paint or Dunelm?

I’ve decided to take the bold option with my study and paint it a dark teal, my favourite colour.

i’ve narrowed it down to Dunelm “Charm” or Graham & Brown “Tiru”.

obvs the G&B brand is more expensive so i’d have expected to be a nicer paint - better coverage, nicer finish, but the reviews seem pretty awful! Anyone any experience with either of these brands can share your personal experience? Thank you!

Hopeful bump for the evening home decor experts?

I have Tiru in my bedroom and love it.

Charm looks very similar. Can you get sample pots in each?

I've painted my living room in Dunelm paint (although not that colour, it was the dark green). I don't know how it compares to your other paint, but I can say it went on well and I only needed two coats. It's hard wearing but it's definitely not matte, or not that chalky matte. There's a slight sheen to it.

If you have a sample of the colour you like, take it to your local branch of Brewers and get them to colour match it in Dulux trade paint.

Thank you all!
@adjdpunchbag really good to hear a real life positive review! You didn’t have any coverage or flaking off problems as the (negative) reviews report?

@Jackthelast that’s really good to hear too, that Dunelm paint is good. I guess the question now is whether a chalky matt finish is worth paying the extra for…

@RusholmeRuffian good point, as is the reminder about sample pots, it’s just that having finally made a decision on colour i’m itching to order and get going.

No coverage was fine, two coats. And no flaking.

Get a sample pot and take it to Johnstons or Brewers, if you have branches near you. My decorator does this with F&B paints and it works out much cheaper, he also says that the quality is better too!
