Patterned fabric sofas?

First brought sofas in 1995 - patterned.
Current sofas brought in 2009 - patterned.
I'm now thinking about replacements but can nearly all are solid colour sofas, which I don't want. I have found the occasional patterned but nothing which grabs me.

Is this a trend thing, will patterned styles return in a few years, any recommendations for patterned sofas currently available??

I still like my current sofas and they have worn well, but they are filled fibre and have squashed somewhat - I always planned to get foam seat replacements and never got round to me. If I can't find replacements then I might look at foam seats but they will probably be quite expensive and it seems a bit excessive for something that is nearing the end of its life (the fabric itself is starting to wear in places).

Oh, we had curtains in a very similar print in our old house. Gorgeous.

Where did you get the sofas? If it's a good quality brand with a hard wood frame why not get them reupholstered in the fabric of your choice? There's some lovely patterned fabrics that are suitable for upholstery (I love Kirby Design fabric, part of Romo, but it is £££). You'd get something unique to you that you know fits your room and it's much better for the environment.

They are DFS, so not sure about the frame quality - although there isn't anything wrong with them.

I've just been googling again and have found some more patterned ones, although nothing that grabs me and ££££.

I'm getting the fixed fabric elements cleaned next week (which is pricier than I expected and made me think again about replacement) and I remove and wash all the seat and back cushion covers regularly (they don't say washable, but seem to cope fine with a 60° machine wash!).

Maybe I'll look in to foam seats again, and then see how the fabric lasts.
