Anyone painted their bathroom floor tiles?

We've got some patterned bathroom floor tiles which are too busy for the rest of the room.

I've only just discovered (thanks to another Mumsnet thread!) that tile paint exists...

Has anyone ever painted over a patterned floor tile? Does it look good? Tbh I don't even need it to look perfect, I reckon anything will look better than what we've ended up with!

I did our kitchen floor tiles. I used two coats of white floor tile paint from b&q then one coat of grey tile paint using a stencil I bought so they look like patterned tiles.
It made a huge difference as they were previously terracotta but I do wish I’d done it the other way around as the white looks a bit grubby almost 2 years later.

I did it in the kitchen and it's very hard to do well- it gets rustic and chipped looking VERY quickly but I imagine with floor tiles it might be too quickly!

Can't you take them up and fit some cheap vinyl? Or vinyl floor tiles?
