Blinds for windows

After some advice. We have vertical blinds now which are a bit dated and different to clean. Cleaned them it the bath but they look a bit tatty now. What are the best blinds to get. I like the look of the wooden ones but worried they would block out a lot of light. Are they easy to clean. Also looking at the day and night blinds. Anyone got any help or advice on which blinds are best.

I had wooden venetian blinds which did block out more light than I wanted.
I have now swapped them for day night blinds which are much better for privacy and light.
Get automated ones

@BruceAndNosh Ive see the automated ones can imagine there really expensive though. They look great. Are they easy to keep clean.
