So today I ordered the following Valspar paints

: JamJar by for my dining room (dark pink)

: Dragon song for my living room (dark green)

And I'm just wondering how you would style them?

What colour curtains, rugs, cushions, paintings,

What kind of ceiling lights?

Just anything really!

I have a high ceiling periods property (very similar to living room photo)

I do have modest budget as I'm moving in so have a lot to buy.

Can you help me pick my decor based on my wall paint?

Am definitely thinking gold fixings in both rooms, light switches etc?

I've got a brighter green; dulux emerald and I've got wooden floor, glass and brass light fitting, lighter creamy/natural rug, large rattan mirror.

Ooh they're bold!

I think I like them in principle but the leopard is just a bit too much. I'm not keen on animals on things

I would go with neutral curtains/drapes, or even rattan blinds to add wood tone. For lamps, stick with brass or neutral tones, and off white shades, Pure white would be too harsh against a darker colour. This looks nice.

I love that green colour, I would say warm but dark woods and gold accessories/fittings to go with the green 😍 but you'll have to be careful not to make it all too dark! Potentially a slightly lighter wood if you think it might become too dark. Maybe use some sort of large neutral coloured rug to brighten it if your good at keeping it clean 😂 and as other have said light curtains :) cast iron radiators would look beautiful but they can be expensive. We got ours second hand off eBay!

I'd choose rugs and/or curtains with a few colours so that you can draw on these for your accessories - so we have a living room with (olive) green walls and our rug includes olive, teal, fuchsia, cream etc.

Our lamps and cushions are a mix of these colours plus some pops of orange to shake things up a bit (we're maximalists and favour an eclectic, bohemian style!).

That's lovely but my kids & dogs would never allow it 😂

Kilim cushions. I have lots and they get compliments all the time. Plus lots of lovely plants.
