paint colour

please help ! getting desperate and going in circles. have recently painted downstairs rooms in Egyptian cotton . dont particularly like as seems to have gone a murky green / grey. Cant repaint it ,but now need to paint hall..... any suggestions as to what colour to brighten up and link the rooms ??? much appreciated

What direction do the window/ windows in the room face? Is there anything outside that blocks the light?

thank you "please just text" for taking time to reply. the 2 already painted rooms are opposite sides of house one north facing one south, the hall is in between. it is a fair size hall and receives light from window on stair and a small window from one room when door open and front door has glass panel. i have lost count of samples - today bought portland stone pale and slaked lime mid in the hope this might bring the theme together as do not want the egyptian cotton everywhere! r u familiar with these ? are they neutral ... was looking on line and some pics show portland as having a green tone - i dont want green !---- any help would be much appreciated ! thank you

also worth mentioning the hall has 4 mahogany doors that have to remain this colour unfortunately and medium oak floor boards,

Try the Dulux Vizualizer app. I ha e found it is very accurate in showing what a paint colour will actually look like in a room/space. If only I had tried it before we splashed out on a huge tin of paint for our living room!

thank you we are the heroes. unfortunately i did try the dulux app but it wasnt at all accurate on my phone prob due to it being an old one. paint colour is very stressful. have a good day and thanks anyway.
