What to do with this window

I need some inspiration! I have an unusual shaped kitchen window & ledge (pic attached) and the ideas I have at the moment are the following:

wooden Venetian across the window (along the base of the triangle)

halfway up blinds on each window

privacy film on bottom half of each window

what what does everyone think? Any other ideas?

thanks!

Luxaflex do pull up blinds rather than drop down blinds.
They can go on each window/ door. They can even be motorised.
Great variety of fabrics.
More expensive than ordinary roller blinds but great.

Thanks I’ll take a look👍

You have privacy but the light still gets in.

TwigTheWonderKid · 19/02/2023 22:14

Do you need anything on the window? It doesn't really look like it is overlooked?

CherrySocks · 19/02/2023 22:15

Large plants in pots?

Flounder2022 · 19/02/2023 22:16

I’d just fill it with plants

HeddaGarbled · 19/02/2023 22:19

Wooden Venetians on each window rather than cutting off the ledge (which is lovely).

AlmostSpring2023 · 19/02/2023 22:22

I'd leave it as it is. Why do you need to do anything? It's not like it's overlooked/overlooking neighbours.

BeaLola · 19/02/2023 22:25

I too would leave as is and put a great plant on ledge

LibertyLily · 19/02/2023 22:41

Another vote for leaving as is and just adding plant(s).

i'd have a simple roller blind at the top that could come all the way down at night for privacy, but no need for anything else in the day.

not wooden venetians - they won't meet properly in the corner and will look a mess.

Jellybean23 · 19/02/2023 23:19

I'd have no blinds, just a plant. A jade plant (like they have in Chinese takeaways ) grow to a decent size and are the easiest thing in the world to grow and don't make a mess.
But avoid wooden venetians if you decide to fit blinds in the recess - the slats are bulky and when they are pulled up, they will hang below the window frames and reduce the light entering the kitchen.

SunshineLoving · 19/02/2023 23:26

That's a really interesting space. I too wouldn't add a blind. Just a nice plant in a pot.

It's a good view for you and no one can see in. Because of the large window sill, it looks like you'd never be right next to the window so it looks very private.

Furries · 20/02/2023 01:32

Agree with others - no blinds needed. I’d just add an interesting plant, maybe a large orchid?

NashvilleQueen · 20/02/2023 01:54

Could you make it into a place to sit? Seat padding and a cushion it two? If not then agree with plants.

Milliemoo1908 · 20/02/2023 05:35

Plants it is then! Thanks everyone 😊

I thought they were doors and a tiled floor BlushBlushBlush

Me too!
