Console to Dining Table / Quality Folding Table

I am wondering if anybody has seen any console tables that convert to dining tables that looked good? Or a really good folding dining table solution.

We are limited on space and generally eat at our breakfast bar, but I'd like an option for a pull out dining table for when we have guests.

I've seen some like this Wayfair table but my worry is they look a bit flimsy.

Would appreciate any recommendations!

What about a drop leaf table like this one? My gran used to have one and it tucked away very small when not in use. There are quite a few vintage ones out there for sale which will generally be much better quality than anything new for a similar price. you can sand/paint it if you wanted a different look.

I did so much research for a console table. This one is solid oak, slides out easily and fits a bench underneath.

The best deal they do is buy one get one half price. It won't go cheaper. So we bought the table and one bench. We also bought a couple of cheap basic folding chairs (Argos) which are kept in a cupboard.

Thanks both @minipie that was a thought as it's where the quality is! We have quite a modern designed house so I'd have to paint it to fit.

@NCtable that is very much the style I'd be looking for, do you think the wood is sandable/paintable or is it a thinner veneer?
