I would like to add this back into my 1930s home, anyone have any recommendations of where to buy it from?

In our 1930s semi we only have plaster coving in the front room (living room). Ours is original. We removed all the layers of paint and then did some patching up and filing the cracks with plaster of paris.

We also put back the picture rails. Do you have the original picture rails and skirting boards?

Decorating shops. Leylands?

@twointhemorning What profile picture rails do you have? Also looking to do this, we have curved ceilings and no coving. All period details have been ripped out and I want to put them back in. Would you mind sharing a picture of your picture rails and coving?

Also I was wondering about ceiling roses - there are some in simple 1920s to 1930s designs but not sure whether to add one or not. I know they were falling in popularity in the 30's and so not in all houses

I've seen lots of online places but ideally wanted recommendations. The house has had it stripped out but I've seen original coving & skirting boards in the neighbours.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I've seen plain ones in some neighbour houses

We bought ours from this place. The trick is to stick it up with tile adhesive and then screw through into the joists and cover the screw heads with filler. It is a bit fiddly and cutting the corners the right way round is complicated. www.covingwarehouse.co.uk/
