I started a similar thread in chat not long ago but didn't get much response so posting again here...
I've been looking for a good quality sofa bed for my daughter to sleep on when she's back from Uni. It needs to be super super comfy and a full-sized double. I've narrowed it down to 3 options:-
- The Swyft model 04 is lovely in real life (the only one I've seen), it has a sprung mattress but is very expensive and I'm unsure how the bed will hold up long-term. The two sections of mattress are different sizes and seem to be different firmness. I think it'll be a squash for two people.
- I love the look of the G-plan Fifty Four, it is good value and folds out to king-size however it is BIG in both length and width. It'll pretty much take up an entire wall of the room so most definitely maximalist! There are no reviews anywhere however I've had some very helpful advice from a 3rd party seller and they say the it comes with a 25 year guarantee, the quality is the same as the Swyft and it is a slighty softer sleep than the Swyft (mattress is apparently foam, not sprung, I'm not sure how this'll hold up long term).
3.Cocoon sofabeds have excellent reviews, I'm considering the Alice model, but I am a bit dubious about heavily reviewed products. Does anyone have one? Are they as good as all the hype? They have a spring mattress and a love the fact that the bit you sit on, which'll get the most wear, ends up at the foot of the bed.
Please help me decide 🙂
