Ikea kitchen utility room

Has anyone got experience of designing an ikea kitchen/utility room? We have a small utility in our new house - 1.5m x 3m. Currently there’s no furniture beyond a ply worktop over the washer-dryer and a small cupboard. We have a narrow Victorian hallway with no space for shoes etc, so I want to utilise the utility as a space for shoes/coats, buggy (when the time comes) as well as a broom cupboard for the hoover/mop/bucket, and space for the washer-dryer.

Because of space limitations, I was planning a 60cm wide shallow base cupboard for shoes with a worktop where I can put keys and post, then a wall cupboard above where I can have baskets for scarves etc. Then a tall 80cm wide broom cupboard next to it. Would it look odd having 2 different sized cupboards next to each other? Any inspo on small but functional utility/bootility rooms welcome!

I would put a ceiling clothes airer on a pulley system above the washer. Having separate space to dry clothes makes a massive difference.

This might influence where you put wall cupboards etc

Hi OP, I suggest you report your post and ask for it to be moved to the property section, plus include a diagram and you'll get tons of helpful suggestions.

I'm struggling to picture what you mean, but FWIW I'm not sure I'd lose cupboard space just for keys and post. There's probably a better way of doing it... def. need a diagram!
