My back door is wooden and the previous owners must have had a pet tiger or similar because it's deeply scratched on the inside. I'm patching it up with wood filler and intend to paint it. It is currently painted very dark brown. I don't know why but painting a door dark brown seems weird. Staining it would be fine but not painting it. So I need to decide what colour to paint it on the inside. Would you go with white, anthracite grey or nearly black or another colour entirely? It is in a very small hallway which has white skirting and the walls are teal.
