'Green screen' wall

I do a lot of social media videos for work. I'd like to paint my main study room green so as to have a permanent "green screen" background. But I want it, if possible, to be a nice shade and not a primary colour.

Have you got any colour suggestions? Thanks!

How green does it need to be? If a very subtle green is ok then Vert de Terre Farrow & Ball is lovely. If it needs to be bolder try Sanderson Botanical Green. Should be able to get these matched by eg Johnstones.

If you want a true ‘green screen’ then it will be a very vibrant almost neon green. You’ll also need to not put up any decoration on that wall.

Thanks. I know it needs to be a bold green but I'd like something that's easy on the eye and looks good in the room. It's south-facing, by the way.

The corridor outside is painted in F&B Elephant Grey, so ideally, it should combine well with it :)

I think anything green enough to function as a green screen will be too green to live with. I would investigate a large pull-down blind, like a projector screen, which could sit unobtrusively in a cassette at the top of the wall the rest of the time.

The green screen wall we have at work is very very bright, like neon but slightly deeper. I don't think you could have it in your home! Maybe if you could pull a room divider or something in front of it but all the time, I think it would look awful.

You won’t get an easy on the eye, F&B toning green if you want it to function effectively as a green screen.

You could have an easy on the eye green wall, as a neutral flat backdrop, but it won’t be useful as a digital green screen.

This is one of those ones where you need to decide if you want function or decoration to be the most important.
