Does anyone have an avocado bathroom ?

How did you decorate around it to make it nice?
I'm trying to match it with grey towels and soap dispenser etc.

I used to in my old house. I went with dark purple towels!

In the 70’s DGM had an orange bath panel with hers & brown & orange tiles!

anyhow, Google avocado bathroom decoration inspiration. Black looks good, as does white. I can’t really picture it with grey.

My parents have. The rest of the room is white or off-white.

I have. I have fuchsia and dark blue accessories.

If you're stuck with it, I'd just go minimalist. Bright white wherever possible, some bathroom friendly plants and some funky prints.

I did. Embraced the whole vibe - white walls, massive cheeseplant, spider plants in macrame holders...I loved that bathroom! Would take it over 90s beige any day.

My grandparents had mustard towels. Every wall was green, whole room in a dusky pink carpet and a pink fluffy mat round the toilet. Very retro!

I did in my old place. I painted it bright white and bought dark grey towels/bath mat.

I'm so jealous of people who bought houses with retro bathrooms! Ours has the most basic white suite and white tiles and I just want a powder blue or olive green suite... 😍

I am of the age where we all ripped these out. We took out a pink bathroom.

I would absolutely love one. Sets are hard to come by, even on salvage yards.

Bamboo and macrame. Lots of plants. Like a forrest. I’d maybe even include kitch jungle wall decals. I’ve really thought about this in the past 😂

I have to sell my late parents' house this year, complete with avocado bathroom suite (with bidet!) fitted 50 years ago.

Oh god I couldn't. If you're stuck with it, white walls and plants will make it look passable.

My parents had one from 1979 to 2005. It was quite disgusting, TBH, but they accented it with pinks (fuschia and rose).

I love them. I don’t know why everyone decided boring white is the way forward for bathrooms.

Ooh, I used to. Knew it was naff but had to go with the flow. Bought a powder pink blind and pink fluffy rug.

A long time ago, (1970s), before I left home, I used to go past a bathroom place in West Croydon on my way to work. They had baths and basins stacked outside in every colour and I used to dream about what colour bath I'd have one day. I would switch between liking the dark red one best and the powder blue, or pale pink. It changed every day. I got a house with avocado!

I wouldn't pair grey with it - I'd either choose white or embrace the colour/era and and go for orange or patterned.

I found this photo on Instagram which looks good.

We couldn't afford a new bathroom so styled out our pink bathroom suite with green walls, a jazzy print lino floor and lots of plants. It's my favourite room in the house now. Absolutely love it and never want to rip it out, much to DPs dismay 😂

We did for a decade in our last house - teamed it with metallic lilac wallpaper, lots of house plants & various shades of purple towels. Was very happy with it.
