What colour would you paint this room?

Converted our integral garage into a playroom/2nd lounge type area, currently looks like the attached and I’m stuck as to what colour to paint; we have a mid grey ish wooden slatted blind (reused from another room in the house) and the grey rug so reluctant to paint it Grey too, very open to ideas!

mostly to be used by 2 boys currently age 7 and 3

I’d leave it white but put some large colourful prints/paintings on the wall.

F&L French grey

Teal. Or just a green.

But I paint everything shades of teal/green. 🤣

Farrow and Ball Babouche - looks great with grey and very cheery colour.

You could even add in a wallpaper with something like this, which is great for kids but not too baby-ish.

Depends if you want it as an adult room or if you're decorating it for the boys?

How much sunlight does it get?

I would do one wall brick effect wallpaper and the other walls a dark blue

I’d go with something like Farrow and Ball’s Cabbage White- light enough that it reflects the natural light but a hint of colour so it’s not just blah.

Get it colour matched at Valspar though. Wouldn’t be paying F&B prices.

Although I wouldn't let the DCs have completely free rein, I would start by asking them what colour(s) they would like. Then put together a short list of shades in that colour you're happy with, and let DCs have final choice from those shades.

@SkankingWombat i tried that - ds2 wants ‘the sky’ and ds1 says black and navy blue 😂 (oh and a colour called dragons lair by valspar )

Ah, so that would be a consensus of 'blue' 😉🙂 (specifying the shade is against The Rules at this stage!)

Although just Googled Dragon's Lair - it's nice, the boy has good taste!

A saffron yellow , but then I like loud colours.
