Is Farrow and Ball really all that?

Or is it just normal paint in a fancy tin that has managed to make itself "designer"?

They have a few nice pale neutrals. I find most of their colours, especially the dark ones, a bit muddy/ grubby looking. Like they've been on the walls too long and they've not been washed. That being said, if you prefer that tone to the brighter alternatives, there aren't many other brands who offer the same. Maybe it's the fact that you can often tell it's Farrow and Ball so you know it's expensive?
