Handmade Kitchen Direct (Christchurch) Alternatives please

I was hoping to order the kitchen for our new extension from handmade kitchens direct (also known as Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch) as we've used them in the past and liked them a lot. But the ordering time is ridiculous with them at the moment and we wouldn't get our kitchen until September or October. As we will have no kitchen for a while as they are knocking it down to build the extension, I don't think we can wait 10 months to get the new one back in. So I'm looking for alternatives that do exactly what handmade kitchens do please - an unpainted (this is important as I don't want to choose the colour until I see what the light is like in the new extension), solid timber, shaker kitchen maker who delivers the cabinets without fitting, and can accommodate bespoke sizes. We have an odd space and need some very shallow and some deeper than normal cabinets so an off the shelf kitchen just isn't going to work. Any suggestions please?

Wow, your experience couldn't be more different to ours @serialrenovator We had a kitchen from HMKOC in 2018 and it was amazing. The customer service was fantastic. We had a tiny problem with one cupboard out of about 30 that arrived with a tiny dent and they sent someone out within days to fix it. They really looked after us. And I liked the tulipwood as it was grain free which I wanted, and really easy to paint. We had no problems with any of the fittings in the three years we used it either. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience.

We're actually using Classic Kitchen Direct in the end as they could do 6 week delivery which suits our our timescale. Seems much the same as HMKOC except the units arrive primed and the insides laquered. And I can order flatpack to save a bit of cash too. We're in Surrey so Lancashire is a bit far for us! Still, please update me when your order comes to let me know if you're happy with the quality - I develop property so will likely have more kitchens to buy in the future!

Thanks for the input. Disappointing quiet thread!

Check out classic kitchens they do a range at similar prices, but already lacquered inside and primed outside, standard sizes are cheapest but they also do bespoke sizes to go with standard
