What colour curtains?

We’ve recently build an extension so now have a lovely white gloss kitchen and magnolia walls. Our dark purple curtains in the lounge now look quite dark. We also have a black leather couch which we will probably get rid of at some point due to rips in it. Was just wondering what colour curtains other people would get. Think I’m thinking beige or caramel.

Until your last sentence I was thinking - tan or mushroom! So I think you’re thinking along the right lines.

Don't get anything with yellow undertones( beige, caramel, tan).

Magnolia has a pink undertone. You need to stick to whites with a pink undertone. You can look on paint websites for whites in tbe pink family, and use a paint card for reference.

MIL is looking to update her wallpaper , maybe paint instead but doesn’t want to change the curtains or couch , they are yellow and dark red, any suggestions thanks
