Modular type sofa ..need flexible option and recommendations!

So, after Christmas here at home I have decided I need to re jig our seating arrangements so people aren't crouching on the floor or balancing on the ends of sofas! I wondered about getting a modular type sofa so if needed I could "move some of it" into our back dining/room kitchen as needed. I don't want another sofa in there permanently as we have the kitchen, table and chairs and a sofa. My thought was for big family get togethers I could swap the table and chairs with sofa...which would be in one of our front rooms (Victorian house, 2 front rooms but neither are very big and I wouldn't want the table and chairs in there permanently as it's not as convenient in a separate room as it is in the kitchen!)
Is there such a thing and can anyone recomend any particular companies? Our present sofas were Next (in the sale ..not full price as don't think they are worth the price asked tbh)

Did you ever find a suitable option? Looking for the exact same thing!

IKEA recently launched a modular sofa called Jättebo which might fit your requirements.

My worry with IKEA is quality. Want something to properly last. Ikea is always hit and miss. My current sofa is IKEA, 5 yrs on and it's doing ok but the armrests are loose. I've had much worse experiences with other IKEA furniture though.

In my experience all sofas are very hit and miss. We’ve had some very expensive ones that haven’t lasted well at all. At least with an Ikea modular sofa if you need to replace certain parts you can buy them separately.

Jättebo also has replaceable covers which aren’t common for modular sofas.

Try Nabru. Modular, spare covers and locally made in Yorkshire ☺️ just about to order our third sofa in a year as we love the first two so much!
