Which blanket? - can't decide

I received an £80 Amazon voucher for Christmas and I've wanted a new blanket/throw for my sofa for ages. I've been looking and seen 2 (yes, I like grey haha) but I can't decide which one to buy. I'm so indecisive! Both have good reviews and look cosy on the pictures. I think the Olivia Rocco Knit throw looks nicer but I think the Bedsure one looks like it would keep me warmer. Thoughts? If you had to choose, which one would you go for? Thanks 😊

The Olivia one is polyester so won’t be good at keeping you warm.

It depends on whether you are after decorative or warm as a priority. If it’s warm then £80 is enough to get you a plug in electric throw and to turn down the heating a degree or two. The money you save on heat can then go towards a decorative throw for the summer!

We have one similar to the second one and it makes my hair look like I've stuck my finger in the plug

The dog also gets his claws stuck on it and it pulls out bits everywhere

I vote for the first one because of that!

The second one is faux knitted. It will go stretchy and out of shape.

I'd get the first.

I had one very similar to the knitted one and it went very bobbly all over very quickly and the yarn seemed to develop pulls and loose bits too just through normal use. Then, even though I washed it very gently by hand (per the instructions) and dried it flat, it went badly out of shape. Mine might have been poorer quality than the one you are looking at, but it was similar in price. I was so sad it looked so shabby so quickly, as they do look fab when new. For the reason alone I like the fleece one better.

Hope you love whichever one you buy 😍

Thank you so much for all your replies and input 😊

I would love an electric blanket, but I was hoping to have some money left over to buy a couple of other bits for the house. I normally sit in the living room a couple times a week when my partner stays over, but I go straight up to bed when I'm alone as I don't get home from work until pretty late. Warmth is more important than looks for me (I think they both look nice anyway). I really liked the first one too and thought it looked cosier/warmer but seeing the second made me doubt myself a little bit as I'd seen similar throws on Instagram and thought they looked nice. I'm glad I asked on here though as it's helped me make up my mind. I'm going for the first one (Bedsure). Can't wait for it to arrive!

Thanks again 😃

Did you get your blanket? I’ve been looking at the bedsure one and wondered if it’s as nice in reality as it looks on the pictures.
