Advice on wall colour

I have just bought this rug

And I have a teal sofa. What paper or paint colour should I put on the walls? Obviously I don't want it to be blue/teal overload, so maybe a more neutral colour?

I'm really hopeless at home decor so trying to get it right this time. Thanks in advance 😊

Something with a flash of hot pink on an accent wall. Then a proper cream on the rest

All depends on the look/feel you want to achieve. If you google image search for ‘teal sofa’ you can see it teamed with walls of navy, light sage green, dusky pink, cream etc.
