Curtain lining

Not sure which topic to put this in but here goes.

I bought some linen curtains in Ikea but they're just too lightweight. I'm going to cut off the part with eyelets and turn them into "proper" lined curtains.

I've made curtains hundreds of times but never used interlining, just standard lining. I'm confused by the variety on offer. Would I be better off using the bonded lining/interlining ? I'm worried they won't hang as well as using separate.

Thanks in advance !

I know it's not the most exciting question 😬

I think it is easier to use the bonded type and will give a good finish although not as good as fully interlined BUT that is a lot of hand work involved.
