A plug in anglepoise wall light?

Iamnotausername · 11/12/2022 16:50

I need a lamp for my desk but my desk is too small for one so I would like a wall light but not hard wired.

Has anyone seen something like this for about £50? I'm a bit worried about buying electricals from random online places.

A plug in anglepoise wall light?

Try Creative Cables. Pretty much anything can be customised.

Thanks but none of those are adjustable anglepoise and only a few are plug in wall lights.

Thank you. Looks smart but not flexible enough.

What was the random place? There are some big online lighting sites that do good brands like Dar.

Thanks. They are quite a smart idea but no adjustable wall lamps.

Just random sites I've never heard of when I google lights. Normally happy to go with it but very wary of dodgy electrical things.

In what way is it not flexible enough? It's adjustable in every plane.

I'm going to be that annoying person who suggests something that you weren't asking for...

I had the same issue, couldn't find what you are looking for so I bought a floor anglepoise lamp, works great.

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 11/12/2022 19:35

Ikea do a few different ones, there's this one www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/skurup-work-wall-lamp-black-80471143/

And this one
www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/tertial-work-lamp-dark-grey-40450802/

They both either clamp to the desk or attach to the wall.

Yes, I did think about that but there just isn't anyhere to put one without the base getting in the way. If there was a light with the tube thing right on the edge of the base I could squeeze it between my desk and wall. Unfortunately it's such a tight space that anything with the light in the centre of the base would use up too many inches. If that makes sense?

They would work. Thank you!

I never think about IKEA because we can't get to one and people talk about expensive delivery but the postage on those is fine.

Thank you.

Pooky and Habitat both have options, and Ikea. All plug-in.

I'd consider ordering the one you first linked, it's from an established brand and it's on several pro lighting websites. Should be pretty obvious if it feels well made.

The only ones on pooky were a lot more than £50.

Nothing in Habitat/Argos.

Thanks

When I looked at it again, it doesn't swivel against the wall iyswim. Always helpful when people post a picture and then say it isn't what they want. 🤣

The light needs to be swivel on the base, pull out and go flat (needs be quite long) and the head needs to be adjustable.
