Super king mattress recommendations?

Must be memory foam, medium-firm and no springs/coils.

We are currently looking at the Emma hybrid or original. Any other recommendations please?

I don't know if you already have a super king mattress but if not measure your stairs etc to make sure one will fit. We had to get a zip and link mattress to fit. We went to a mattress factory and they made ours to order. It was cheaper than going though any middle man seller. Have a google and see if you have one near you. Might get a bargain.

We have the Simba hybrid and love it. Bought it about a year ago. It's so comfy!

We have an Emma Premium. Fantastic! Was a bit hard when it arrived so called the customer support line and they sent out a free topper for it. Wow, amazing mattress now!!

Brandalley often has then on offer

Ours is Reylon memory foam, had it quite a few years now, lasted very well, would recommend.

I have an Emma and it’s AWFUL.
within 1 year it was like sleeping on a hammock, it had sagged so much. I complained and sent them pictures, they sent me a new one. Another year has gone by and the new mattress has also sagged terribly. I thought I might have got unlucky with the first one but it’s clearly an Emma problem, not an individual mattress defect. OH and I are well within the maximum weight they say it will be ok

Hopping on the bandwagon:
Those of you with memory foam, i know it's supposed to be great for sleping but is it quite annoying for sex? On the display bed it felt like a bit of an effort to turn over!
Also, do you turn the mattress periodically like a sprung one to extend its life?

SunSandAndLotsOfGin · 25/01/2023 19:20

Don't go for an Emma - we had one and it was awful!

Yeahrightthen · 25/01/2023 19:24

Mine is a silentnight with a memory foam topper - it’s extremely comfy.

Word of advice though - don’t ever buy a down feather super king duvet for it - changing the bedsheets is like wrestling with an octopus! Very warm and comfy though.

Whataretheodds · 25/01/2023 21:51

@Yeahrightthen is the topper detachable is integrated? Am allergic to feather so no danger there!

@SunSandAndLotsOfGin thanks for the warning!

Yeahrightthen · 25/01/2023 22:02

It’s on the top of the mattress but attached iykwim. We stay in a lot of nice hotels and the comfiest bed I ever slept on when I asked the receptionist was a silent night mattress with the memory foam top - that’s why we bought it and it hasn’t disappointed!

Tempur.
