Hi there...I wonder if anyone can help. My flat is fine but has the feel of student accommodation and I'm nearly 50 and feel the need to smarten it up a bit. But don't have an enormous budget and most importantly I don't have a good eye for what will work.
I fwwl sure that someone could walk in...suggest cheap things like changing light switches/buying xyz cushion/a lampshade and the whole place would just look more put together than thrown together!!
But are there people who do that for a job? It's definitely not interior design...more the finishing touches which would lift it a bit....

What style do you like? Whatever you are into (boho, scandi, cottage, beachy) there will be a facebook group for it! Join a group then post a picture of your room and people on there will give great advice on what to do and what products you need.

Thank you. The problem is it's just v plain and boring and I simply don't know what style I like. I really do need someone with a really good eye to come and look at it as a whole. It's silly things like would chrome light switches make a difference etc. You know when you go into a house and it feels comfortable and just has that extra something to make it feel well put together. Some people just have a knack to it...I definitely don't!

An interior designer local to me does a ‘finishing touches’ package for I think about £200 per room. Perhaps see if anything like that is available near you?
