11yr old “gamers” bedroom

11 yrs DS wants a bedroom “makeover” for his birthday. He wants a “gamers” bedroom!

I have no idea where to start. Any makeover needs to last a good few years though so I want what we buy to last. For that reason I’m thinking maybe not a high top bunk type bed as not sure how practical that will be when 16 etc.

He has PlayStation and TV currently, with a rocker chair. The rest of his room is very much younger child! Any suggestions / inspiration welcomed.

Ageee with PP. White or light coloured walls. Some Phillips Hue colour changing LED strip lights around the top one walls that he can control with Alexa or Google.
Amazon have some really good gamer’s rugs with different designs on, or Google for ideas.
high sleeper isn’t great for a 15 year old, but if that is needed, then go for that.
Search Etsy for personalised gamers art. There are some amazing things on offer there.
make sure you know what gaming console he has, eg Xbox or PlayStation so you can match any decor to that. Most of the supermarkets sell Xbox or PS bed linen.

@bestsellingshow Forgot to add to my post that we painted a wall in Denim Drift blue. My teen loves it. He’s 17 now and still happy with it.

I’d think on of having at least one dark wall though some screens and watching work better and have the better ambaiaaaaaaance☺️With dark behind

alot look very blue or purple strip lights around the tops of skirting and ceiling and around shelving etc.
mif you Google gamers bedroom decor they all look along a similar theme with colouring and lights.

Also I saw that B&Q do a great graffiti style wall paper so maybe you could do a accent wall with that and paint the rest neutral.

Led lights you stick up spring ceiling are cheap on Amazon and look great for this style
