What is everyone carpeting their stairs with these days?

Looking for inspiration….the vertical stripes from the last 15 years will be coming up shortly but what to replace with?

We have a plain carpet. Nice and fluffy

Just had ours done yesterday. Plain colour, nice pile. Feels so lovely after years of ugly worn carpet and weeks of bare boards.

A plain decent pile carpet that's the same as all the other rooms in the house (bedrooms and living room)

Herringbone flat weave

Looks great, but a PITA to fit (had to get them to sort wonky bits) and a bit slippery in socks.
