We have an oak furniture, cream sofa and rug, floral, cream curtains it does go together nicely , but I'm lacking inspiration with the accessories, ie cushions, wall art, what to put on the coffee table, how to decorate the fireplace mantle so the whole room looks bland and unfinished.
Any ideas or inspiration?
TIA

Have you got anything over the fireplace? I think round mirrors work well. Pot plants make a room cosier (there are some good artificial ones around if you aren’t green fingered). Grey cushions with maybe some colour in them would work on your sofa, or possibly beige/nude with some texture. Do you have a bookcase? Books make a room seem cosier.
Candles on your mantelpiece.

What colour are your walls?

It sounds similar to our living room though we have a blue striped rug instead of cream. For the sofa, we have a knitted, duck egg blue throw blanket from ikea, a mishmash of cushions in various shades of blue from Dunelm (can't find them all but examples below), a lamp to go over the back of the corner of our sofa (it's just over head height) and a large parlour palm at one end. Our coffee table tends to accumulate crap but in the middle we have a succulent in a pot. There are some more potted plants on the fireplace with a mirror from the Range above (landscaper rather than portrait in the link) and a pothos trailing down over the bookshelves. We only have one print in our living room from which is an A1 print from killing Eve in a cheap frame from Amazon.

There's large framed vintage picture over out fireplace, but it just didn't suit the living room.

Our walls are off white.

Thank you for your suggestions- I think we should add some bookshelves and plants.
