Plywood kitchen recommendation/dos & don’ts

Hi,
I’d love to install a plywood kitchen in my house.

Not sure where to start! Everything I Google is high-end bespoke kitchen fitters and that’s not my budget sadly.

Do I need to accept that that would be the only way to have a plywood kitchen or can anyone recommend a company that’s a little more affordable?

If anyone has a plywood kitchen, what’s it like to live with in terms of care/maintenance/durability.

Thank you!

We have a plywood kitchen (Ikea carcasses with a mixture of birch veneer and laminate ply fronts) from holte.studio/ I adore it, but it wasn't the cheapest. Only had it two years but the quality seems excellent. Ikea kitchens are well known to be durable. It is important to get it fitted by someone who knows what they're doing.

Some friends have a Plykea kitchen which is also lovely, seems just as good quality and possibly cheaper. If you are happy to have a Formica ply worktop, that saves a lot of money over eg quartz. You might also look at Husk and Naked Doors. The latter might be the most affordable option but I can't speak for the quality.

We are moving house soon and I am going to miss my kitchen so much! Already dreaming about eventually getting something similar in the new house, but I think it's going to be a while before we can stretch to it.
