Cocktail room

If I told you that you had one room in your house that was being designated the “cocktail room” (with the assumption that you like cocktails), how would you furnish it, and can you provide links, please?

I’m thinking lovely cocktail dinner in the corner, two very plush chairs, low tables, maybe a record player.

(And yes, I know that a “cocktail room” isn’t a thing but I think it should be!)

A beautiful plant hanging or draping in the corner. A lamp casting a warm glow. Luxurious cushions on your plush chairs. A Moroccan or Turkish rug.

I'd go for a gentleman's club vibe...deep dark colour on the walls, leather armchairs, several lamps both floor and table, dark wood furniture, traditional art, a globe etc

A huge potted palm in the corner and mood music playing softly , some wall lights with ornate deco shades.

The room is currently a sunroom- it’s double height and very bright (light from four sides plus velux windows in the roof) and is a light colour and planning on keeping that. It’s also currently my plant room so there’s a collection of large pot plants.

I’m torn between gentleman’s club thinking I might even take up cigar smoking, or plush velvet style.

Because of the shape of the room and position of windows and French doors, the drinks cabinet will have to be on a corner.

I'd go for a similar vibe to the Blue Bar at the Berkeley or the Palm Court at the Ritz albeit at a more domestic scale! Go wild with colour, pick one and lean into it. Plenty big green leafy plants and some raffia
