Billy bookcase question

Please save me an hour’s drive to Ikea and all the money I will unnecessarily spend there

I’m trying to find suitable shoe storage that can accommodate lots of shoes - 4 DC. I like the Ikea Billy hacks but the depth isn’t deep enough to take DH’s massive shoes. Does anyone know whether the shelves can be fitted at an angle (slanted) so it doesn’t matter if his shoes overhang? Thanks!

No there are pre drilled holes to lock them into place

Not sure what you mean by slanted, but some of the shelves could perhaps be fitted so that they protrude, and don’t touch the back of the unit. Or IKEA may have some non Billy units which are a bit deeper

Many of them have three choices of hole per shelf so I think you possibly could do this. Genius idea! You can see which on the site.

Ikea's Pax wardrobe frames have a 35cm depth version, similar to Billy but deeper. You can put shelves in it, they're £65 for a metre wide frame.

They also do pull out shoe shelves where the shoes are 'slanted' so these might fit with what you need

Thank you all! @catscatscurrantscurrants i think they’re too deep but the shelves are exactly what I was trying to describe. @chyra yes I hope that’s what I can do, but have it slanted towards the back so the opposite way from the Pax ones. Will have to go and have a fiddle!

Do none of the Ikea shoe cabinets work size wise?
