RIP Made.com and alternatives

I am a made.com fan and a little upset they seem to be going under, and trying to find another place to fill the gap. Currently I also buy from West Elm and Swoon, but neither quite hit it like made.com did - any other recommendations? Looking for on-trend and not outrageously expensive furniture!

I feel your pain. It’s such a shame as think they were pretty unique in their offering , yes their model wasn’t always the best in terms of having to wait months sometimes but was usually worth it in the end. Hopefully someone will come up with some suggestions as I’m equally lost without my go to !

Me too. We have a sofa bed on order due to arrive before Christmas but I guess that isn’t going to happen now.
I think Habitat is quite cheap looking now that it’s owned by Argos

There is still a chance it will survive - though admittedly it doesn’t look hopeful. Shame because I quite liked it and had my eye on a new light fitting.

I think habitat still has some nice pieces. I think it and Argos are owned by Sainsburys.

I like (liked?) Made and also have quite a few pieces of furniture from La Redoute. All good quality and arrive pretty much assembled. Might be worth a look.

Dwell is very similar to Made.com in style

Was just coming on to say Dwell too.

I’m also a fan of Neptune, although their furniture is slightly more traditional and more expensive. Their prices have gone sky high over the past six months. I’m wondering if they’ll be able to weather the economic storm.

Oh no, I love Made.I have an armchair and a couple of light fittings from them.

Oh yes I do like a lot of Dwell stuff. We ordered our dining table from them and it’s extremely good quality for the discounted price I bought it at. I was very pleasantly surprised

I was going to say La Redoute or Dwell too.

It's a shame about Made - we have a couple of nice small furniture items from them (coffee table and desk) and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, tbh.

Actually, I was on the verge of ordering an occasional garden table. So pleased I'd not gone ahead now and feel sorry for those who are awaiting deliveries, not to mention the Made staff!

I placed an order with Made last March, the delivery had a wait time of 8 weeks, I cancelled in November after 8 months of waiting! Reading reviews I was one of many, it was back on the cards then that it was failing.

Just thought of another one that I always forget about , Maison du Monde

Ooo I forgot about dwell, always get it mixed up with West elm! I will check out la redoute, habitat and neptune too, thanks for the hot tips!

I'll have to warn you all off Maisons Du Monde though, soooo much stuff I ordered from there arrived either broken and/or pretty shoddy quality. I swore off them after they refused to get back to me to refund a broken shelf; I sent about 20 emails and called with no response. It's a shame as I'll be doing Google searches and find some nice looking furniture, only having to veto it due to Maisons Du Monde being my nemesis!

I've only ever bought lighting from Made and was very pleased with it. I'm disappointed that it's going.

Ah that’s a shame re Maisons du Monde, I’ve only ordered from there once a long time ago and it was fine but I will heed the warning !

I haven’t but looking at Sofas too. Reviews are good and they score 4.1/5 on trust pilot

I have a daal sofabed it is good and very very similar to a made.com sofa chair I have.
