The problem is my tired out old bathroom, i cannot afford to re-tile it but want to give it a makeover.
The tiles are the exact shade of the Mumsnet blue banner. Large rectangles and white grout. The tiles are around the bath, and another smaller section behind the adjacent sink.
Everywhere else is painted white and has conventional white sink, loo, bath. White heated towel rail. Silver spotlights, also old, and a white glass central bathroom light as well (unnecessarily)
At the minute the floor is a cheap wood laminate (looks fairly orangey and i hate it).
It's a large bathroom - about 3m x 3m - and the wall opposite the bath has just got the door and the towel rail.
The obvious thing is to replace the floor - im thinking some kind of white vinyl tiles?
I don't want to spend a fortune.
Any other ideas?
