Evening all,

Looking for some ideas from you lovely lot.

We have a sort of inside porch. Front door is outside on the driveway, then we have a sort of porch/boot room, then a door leading to the inside of the house.

It's tiled with Victorian tiles. Nothing else in it. I feel like it needs a console table, or umbrella stand or something.

We have somewhere for shoes and coats in the house already so it's not storage that's needed but decoration/style.

Can't really Google ideas as it's not a porch and not a boot room.

Can you help me find some inspiration?

Okay...could be known as a foyer/entry way.

I've found some photos but these aren't my house. MUCH less grand. No show storage or coat storage needed. Would like a table- pictures, just need some inspiration.

How about a monks bench?
Great for storage.

Plant stand? I'd avoid a table if you don't need one as just becomes a dumping ground for keys and junk mail.

Dimensions? Is this the front door & is it always the main one, used more than not? If so, are you sure you don’t need somewhere for wet coats & shoes? If not (we don’t as have a boot room going of our entrance way), you could have a console table with mirror over, photos & flowers on. One word for the room you describe is vestibule btw

Something simple like these?

We have one of those. Will post pic tomorrow

Yes!
Thank you for your photos. Might use a bench but just to take off shoes and boots, not for storage. Like the plant pot. Agree about the table but don't need it for keys. Yes we use it every day as our one and only entrance. Thanks- keep those ideas coming if you have any.

Vestibule. How about a Victorian hat and coat stand? If you don’t need the storage you could display a few hats, walking sticks etc.

My vestibule is small so I tend to keep the outside storm doors open during the day to let more light into the hallway so don’t have anything in there.

What size is it? Then I might be able to suggest something 🙂

2m by 2m approx. Bay window included.

Our vestibule is half the size of yours, both ways, so I have serious vestibule envy 🤣
(Could never park a pushchair, and it’s always an awkward shuffle when visitors arrive and leave.)
We have a coat rack on the wall and umbrella etc stand on the floor in there, and then a shallow console table with drawers and a shelf below in the actual hall.
I’d love to have one of those coat/shoe benches!

Ours is just like this, but was about £80 from B&M.
I would have a lamp on it but we have no sockets in the hall, only in the vestibule - back to 2-metre envy.
It does collect clutter though…

Thinking on, it’s a quarter the size of yours!

We have something similar size, about a foot wider, I have a antique low profile console table on one side with a lamp /flowers on, and on the other a very slim antique low profile bench, to sit on and remove shoes (dump stuff on). I also have a very large mirror above the table, which makes it look bigger.
