I love Yankee Candle Lemon and Lavender candles. But they are expensive and our local Debenhams has closed so I don't know where to buy them. Can anyone suggest a similar fragranced candle that's not hugely expensive. I haven't found any other candles that have the same strength of fragrance.

The Aldi and Lidl Jo malone copies are good if you want an everyday candle. But for evenings I just use essential oils in a burner now, I like being able to blend my own mixes and the fragrance is much better. I also like the pine scented air wick one. And tk maxx is always good for candles as well.

@thenewaveragebear1983 great idea I hadn't thought about just using essential oils, I do have a burner somewhere....

I second the Aldi candles, i was sceptical but my friend recommended them so I tried one and they are very good candles and cheap x

I read somewhere that the cheap brands use plain wax in the majority of the candle and only put the Fragrance in the top cm of the jar, so they smell good when you buy them but the scent doesn’t last. I find the Aldi ones smell nice all the way through.

Amazon had that scent 40% off last week, not sure if they still do

Yep they still do, £16.99 for the largest size, which given how long they last I don't think is bad

This is a fantastic quality lavender candle for £13.00. It’s not a big company and I think they make them by hand in the uk: www.cosynookcandleco.co.uk/product-page/sleep-slumber
