What's your hall? Ideas please!

We've had some work done and I don't know what to put in my hall.
It's an odd shaped space with 7 doors, and a radiator. There's a wall directly facing the front door approx 1.5m wide. What should I put there? It used to be a hall stand but we have a cupboard now.
What can I put there that isn't a mirror? A piece of furniture, or just artwork, or a bench?
I'm nonplussed! Thanks for your help.

I'd pop a console table there with artwork above it if you don't want a mirror. A vase with fresh or artificial flowers and a lamp

I've been looking at console tables. I'm thinking that I'll get one fit behind the sofa too.
