I wanted to share a pic of my tiny bathroom now that I've made it Botanical. Would love to hear about others' bathroom plants.

We’ve got a fern that seems to like it, and a cactus.

Medoca · 16/10/2022 18:16

Ivy generally does well too

userxx · 16/10/2022 20:10

Where did you get the wall planter from ? I could do with one.

MWNA · 16/10/2022 20:25

There's a couple more since this was taken. I love a green and white bathroom.

userxx I got mine from Trouva, but they have them in a few online stores, like this one:

FreddyHG · 16/10/2022 20:55

And yours @MWNA very sympathetic to the room and cat what is the second one from the left?

@toenails thank you! You've saved me a job, those ones are perfect 👍

toenails · 16/10/2022 21:25

@userxx Great! Mine is that very one - even though you can't see much of it underneath the plant. It's nice quality, though - I'd definitely recommend it :)

I like a plant
this is my jungle. A LOT of peace lilies (cheap and bomb proof) and then whatever Morrison’s had at bargain prices

Actually, you can’t see a SINGLE peace Lily in this picture! I promise you, I have loads :)

Thank you so much, @N0RKS , and I love that bathroom of yours. Fabulous colours, and even your curtains are botanical (in fact in a Specsavers moment I mistook them for plants). Gorgeous

This seems like the ideal thread to ask about bathroom plants! We're moving, hopefully, and I'm going to have a bathroom all to myself and won't have to share with stinky boys (DH/DS). I would love to get some greenery in there but it doesn't have any windows. Is there any hope for me?

Love the gorgeous displays in this thread.

userxx · 16/10/2022 22:05

@N0RKS Thanks for clarifying, was about to dig out my super strength glasses and search for them.

N0RKS · 16/10/2022 22:08

Calypso, you might get away with spider plants, if you let them have SOME light
Or possibly a snake plant? They are FABULOUS plants, and look slightly alien
I have never managed to grow maidenhair Fern successfully, but apparently they tolerate low light (plus, maidenhair, is literally named after pubic hair, so there’s that !)

but no plant will grow in absolutely NO light

N0RKS · 16/10/2022 22:09

LOOK!

@mynameiscalypso Is there any light coming from anywhere near your bathroom? Certain plants like very indirect light. If not you could move your plants into a sunny room for part of the day at least. There are also lightbulbs you can get as a sort of substitute (my ne'er-do-well brother-in-law used them for growing cannabis). I did a quick google and found this, which might be useful:

Thank you both! I think I'll need to experiment once we move in; I'm not sure there will be much light because of the location of the door but moving the plant for a bit of the day sounds like it could be an option. I will definitely check out your suggestions too!
