Sofa bed for daily use

Any recommendations for a sofa bed that I can use daily?
Needs to convert to a double.
Ideally as cheap as possible but equally I don't want to ruin my back!
I can't have a Murphy/wall bed as it needs to be seating in the day.
My flat is very narrow and all the ones I look at are quite deep

I had a DFS sofabed for daily use. It started off fine but the frame is not designed to have such high use and the frame broke, bolts were shaved off, DFS did come out once to fix it but they didn't have the correct stuff and they wanted to change the slats from wooden to a kind of net which I refused.
They then said because I was using it daily they will not fix it anymore as sofa beds are not intended for daily use.

So I know that didn't answer your question but I just want to warn you that they are not fit for daily purpose. Proceed with caution!

Maybe a futon would be good for you wil a mattress topper you could roll up and hide behind the futon during the day.

Thankyou. A futon is a good idea I will have a look. I did ask in DFS and they did say a bed would be better if every day 😀

This is very comfortable to sleep on and is a proper, full sized, double. It’s not a particularly attractive sofa though, as it has no arms, but I’d prioritise a good nights sleep over style if you’re making a choice.

is less important than a good nights sleep but it would be lovely to have both.

We have the ikea hemmed daybed and had relatives staying on it for several weeks

@AriettyHomily I did wonder about that one as it seems to look quite nice as well

I just got the ikea sofabed at £130 very comfy easy to fold away
